Courtney Darling, Principal/Creative Director

Courtney founded Darling Design in 2004 with the goal of offering clients a full range of web and print design services under one roof, enabling them to keep their brands consistent and their costs at a minimum. She brings 10+ years graphic and web design experience to the table, including key projects for clients like Trump, Cingular, Merck and Madison Square Garden.

Courtney is a design chameleon, communicating each client's unique personality, whether corporate finance, e-business, real estate, fashion or skincare, while being consistently compelling and on-target. She takes a strategic, goal-oriented approach, weighing the client's objectives and the market's demands to create custom solutions, whether the situation calls for a full-on marketing campaign or one-off website. Personalized service and advanced technology are cornerstones of her business, and her clients know they can expect results from their investment.

Sarah Skapik, Art Director, Graphic/Web Designer

Sarah joined the Darling Design team in 2006, bringing with her a passion for all aspects of design, a surplus of talent, and experience with high-end brands like L'Oreal. She's made her mark at the firm, playing an integral role in the creation of award-winning websites and dazzling print work. Sarah holds a Graphic Design degree from Parsons The New School for Design in New York City, along with a degree in Cultural Anthropology from the University of California Santa Cruz. While in Parsons' intense program, she honed her conceptual and technical skills, and developed a subtle yet engaging style. Her anthropology background enhances her design work with detailed observation and disciplined research. Sarah's theory is that deeper understanding leads to better design, and she proves it every day.

Cindy L'Esperance, Copywriter

Cindy leverages her 15+ years experience in marketing and advertising to craft strategic interactive and print campaigns. She has been integral to the development of numerous websites for Darling Design, not only writing content, but also planning the most strategic content and intuitive navigation. During the eight years that she worked in New York City, Cindy held senior copywriting positions with Time Warner Cable and Doubleday as well as two ad agencies, which required her to develop creative solutions to a variety of marketing challenges. She is currently the owner of Seven Stones Inc. Strategic Writing Services, and continues to serve as Darling Design's primary resource for writing and editing, as she has since our inception.

Cypress Dubin-Snyder, Project Manager

Cypress is a pivotal team member, entrusted with planning and prioritizing the myriad of individual tasks associated with producing websites and other complex projects for Darling Design. In her 10 years experience within both the commercial and not-for-profit sectors, she has demonstrated an exceptional ability to blend project management, marketing and business development with creative direction, delivering superior results within defined budgets and time frames for clients such as The Museum of Modern Art and K&L Marketing/American Express. Her finely honed problem-solving and resource management abilities make her a measurable asset, and the diverse background she brings, having worked in Europe, East Asia and India, lends a broader perspective to our work. Cypress holds a B.A. from Barnard College, Columbia University.

Matthew Beaumont, Web Developer/Programmer

A developer with a solid technical background, Matthew Beaumont is the founder of Beaumont Web Development LLC, the firm Darling Design turns to for simple yet powerful web-based solutions. Believing firmly that, to be an effective marketing tool on an ongoing basis, a website must always be fresh and dynamic, Matthew specializes in designing web-based applications that give Darling Design clients complete control over their web presence. He works closely with our design team to ensure that his systems work as an extension, rather than a restriction, of the designer's artistic vision, while being extremely easy to use. And of course, he takes care to ensure that they are integrated seamlessly into the overall site architecture.
